A close and direct disciple of Pandit Shriram Sharma Achaya, Dr. Pranav Pandya is renouned world over as a pioneer of scientific spirituality . As the Head of the Organization, he disseminated the message of Indian culture , in its true spirit, across the globe and established branches of Gayatri Pariwar in over 80 countires. Under his dynamic leadership the Dev Sanskriti University at Haridwar is establishing new milestones and reforming the face of modern education .

A Gold Medalist in Medicine MD Dr. Pandya qualified for US medical service s in 1976. But upon the insistence of His Guru Pandit Shriram Sharma gave up the lucrative offer and stayed in India. This was the beginning of a Guru -disciple relationship that asked for more sacrifice and penance before moulding Dr. Pandya into a global messenger of Indian Culture .

After giving up his job with BHEL as an in-charge of ICCU and joining the Yug Nirman Mission at Shantikunj as the director Brahmavarchas Research Institute in 1978, under the guidance of Acharyaji, Dr. Pandya laid the foundation of pioneering work in bringing science and spirituality together. Under his guidance path breaking research on Ayurveda , Psychology, Yagya pathy and therapeutic benefits of meditation, pranayam was carried out.

He did intense research , study in Ayurveda , Indian Scriputres, co-authored many books on scientific spirituality during the years 1978 to 1990 in close proximity of Acharyaji. Even more significant phase of his life began in 1990 when Gurudev Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharyji took Maha samadhi . This time the world was waiting for his treatise on scientific spirituality in the light of hoary Indian Culture . As the head of Global Gayatri Pariwar he established branches in 80 countries. In continuance of his efforts he has presented scientific aspect of Indian culture to the Parliament of Worlds Religion. He has addressed joint session of House of Lords and House of Commons in UK in February 1992.

As a global messenger of Pandit Shriram Sharmaji’s vision of Bright Future Dr. Pandya inspired Youth s and Talents all over India and abroad to take up the three fold path of Sadhana , Upasana and Aradhana. Self-discipline, Attainment of Divinity and Self-less service . Under his leadership the Gayatri Pariwar fraternity has blossomed into a world wide organization with nearly 90 million followers.

As a futurist he in not only optimistic about a bright future for mankind, but also has the courage of conviction to go any length to achieve his goals. His untiring efforts manifested into a Unique University of Indian Culture . Established in the year 2002 through an ordinance by Uttaranachal Government and recognized by UGC, this University is being developed on the lines of ancient Guru kuls of Nalanda and Taxila. Here the main emphasis is on molding of a new generation of inspired youth s who can take up social service along with their own development . A unique synthesis of scientific reasoning with spiritual enlightenment Dr. Pandya is shouldering the responsibility as the Director of Brahmavarchas Research Institute, Head of All World Gayatri Pariwar, Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti University, Editor of Akhand Jyoti Magazine and President of Swami Vivekananda Yogvidya Mahapeeth.

Dr. Pranav Pandya is a shining example of a Holistic Purposeful selfless life lived in the true Vedic spirit. For his noble contribution for the betterment of world, he is honoured with Life Time Achievement Award at the National Symposium on Science of Holistic Living.

Chronology of Life Events :

1963: Came in contact with Gayatri Mission , founded by Yugrishi Pandit Sriram Sharma Acharya, an organization working for moral and spiritual uplift¬ment of humanity.

1972: M.B.B.S. from M. G. M. Medical College Indore, India.

• 1975: M.D. from M.G.M. Medical College, with gold medal.

• 1975-1976: Worked with eminent medical scientists in the Departments of Neurology and Cardiology at M.G.M. Medical College. Published research papers on the treatment of psycho¬somatic diseases, sleep disorder and on Neuropsychiatry.

• 1976-1978: Served as a physician in Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited hospitals in Haridwar and Bhopal, as in-charge of Intensive Care Units.

• 1978: Received lucrative job offers in U.S.A. but pre¬ferred to stay back in India to serve the Indian Culture and hence settled perma¬nently at Shantikunj , Haridwar, the Headquarters of Gayatri Mission .

• Since 1979: Serving as Director of Brahmavarchas Shodh Sansthan, Haridwar 1984-1990: In-charge of the ' Personality Development and Moral Education ' training programmes for officers of the Central and State Governments. More than 55000 officers have so far participated in this programme.

Since 1994: Editor of the monthly magazine Akhand Jyoti (Hindi), which is also published in seven regional languages. The magazine has approximately 1.5 million subscribers worldwide. A bimonthly edition is also being published in English since Jan 2003.

Since 1995: Serving as Head of All-World Gayatri Pariwar, in close collaboration with his soul mate Shailbala Pandya (daughter of Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma and Acharya Shriram Sharma) who herself is the Managing Trustee of Shri Vedmata Gayatri Trust.

Accolades & Honours :

Between 1990 and 2000, undertook extensive tours in India and abroad and organized large scale programmes to disseminate knowledge about spiritual aspects of Indian Culture on a scientific basis. Established branches of the Gayatri Pariwar abroad in U.S.A., Canada, U.K., Denmark, Norway, Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, etc.

Participated in conferences and delivered exclusive lectures at Cambridge University, Oxford University, Harvard University, University of California at Los Angeles and other Universities.

Addressed a joint session of the House of Lords and the House of Commons in London in February 1992.

In 1994 initiated watershed development programme, a scheme for harvesting rain water. This scheme has been extended all over India.

Presented scientific aspects of Indian Culture to the World Parliament of Religions held in Chicago (U.S.A.) in 1993 and in Cape Town ( Republic of South Africa ) in 1999.

Honoured by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the world famous American space centre, in 1996 as a distinguished scientist and reformer for worldwide dissemination of scientific aspects of Indian Culture .

Conferred the 'Hindu of the Year' 1999 award by F.I.A. (Federation of Indian Association) and F.H.A. (Federation of Hindu Association) for dissemination of Indian Culture abroad.
